Year 9 STEM Day

On Friday, Year 9 were off timetable doing a STEM day on the theme of ‘sustainability’. Activities included building re-usable rockets, testing different biofuels, foods of the future (including trying different insect proteins!), water pollution, making bio-polymers, and constructing structures with limited resources. Students then heard from industry experts about this growing sector as a potential career option.
