Year 9 Skills and Careers Challenge

Year 9 students spent a day identifying and honing their employability skills this week. We welcomed a total of 42 visitors from local businesses and industries who worked with students in small groups on a variety of time-limited tasks which tested their communication, concentration, team-work, problem-solving and a whole host of other qualities needed in the workplace. It was great to see students interact with their business mentor and form strong partnerships with team-mates. The events have also been helpful in enabling students to identify some of their own qualities and skills ahead of the GCSE option process which is now underway.
