Year 8 – Practical Assessment – Mediterranean Cuisine
This week it was the turn of the Year 8 pupils to complete a practical assessment in their Cooking and Nutrition lessons.
This year we have been studying Mediterranean Cuisine and the pupils were challenged to plan, prepare, cook and present a dish from a Mediterranean cuisine of their choice. The dish needed to demonstrate a wide range of practical skills and pupils were also asked to think about how they would present their final dish.
The pupils produced some excellent time plans to aid their time keeping and organisational skills with the majority finishing on time and working independently throughout.
Well done Year 8 – I have been impressed by your commitment to learning, with many pupils selecting challenging dishes.
