The Year 8/9 athletics team travelled to Sportcity,  last Friday for the Greater Manchester indoor athletics competition. Pupils competed in a range of different events throughout the afternoon; 60M, 200M, high jump and long jump to name a few.  The standard at the competition was very high with athletes from different clubs over Manchester. Our pupils were outstanding. They represented Wellington in an excellent manor and showed determination and endeavour in their events. Well done Alex Edwards who won a silver medal in the high jump, Will Rodwell who also won silver in the shot putt, and Clara Edwards who won bronze in the 200m.
