Year 7 Football

The Year 7 boys football team beat East Manchester Academy 6-2 last night at their place in the Greater Manchester competition. We haven’t played in a few weeks and therefore in the first 10 minutes we were a bit rusty. We ended up going down 2-1 before we woke up and started playing some really good intricate football.

There were notable mentions all over the pitch, but Oscar Curran was voted Man of the Match by myself and Mr Howarth. His work rate, tenacity, strength and delivery was a real driving force for us to get a foothold in the match. Scorers were Harry Brown (2), Frank Mairs (2), Oscar Curran and Il Capitano Finn Conyers.
