Year 10 – GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition
This week the Year 10 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition students completed a practical session whereby they were required to make 2 dishes in 2 hours. This was done as a practice for Year 11 when they will be required to cook 3 dishes in 3 hours.
Pupils followed a brief and had previously made up to 3 trial dishes. They were then required to plan, prepare and cook 2 final dishes based on the initial trials and suitable for the chosen design brief. Pupils also produced a detailed time plan which they were required to follow throughout the session.
Everyone worked really hard and produced an impressive array of dishes. It was really pleasing to see the amount of effort each student put in and I am now very excited to see what will be produced next year.
Fantastic work Year 10, an amazing end to what has been an excellent first year of your GCSE studies.
