Year 10 and Year 12 Media Studies
Year 10 Media Studies pupils attended an online BBC Radio 1 masterclass with presenters Vicky Hawksworth and Nat O’Leary who were discussing their route into the radio industry and the production process of making a radio programme. They addressed why social media platforms such as TikTok are so important to their show. This linked in with our study of BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge and how radio shows target their audiences.
Year 12 students had the opportunity to participate in an online session led by a range of industry experts from BBC Radio to the Director of ITV Academy focusing on careers in the creative industry, improving their networking skills, LinkedIn strategies, and how to navigate their way into their chosen career.
