WorldWise Quiz

This week (Wednesday 15^th November) the Sherlockholmies competed in the WorldWise Quiz organised by the Geographical Association which was hosted at MMU.  

There have been a number of weekly heats and an exceptional amount of revision in preparation for the quiz. In the team were Daisy Bennett (Year 9), James Kirkup (Year 9) and Alfie Gibson-Buckley (Year 9). 

With 15 teams eager to win the GA trophy competition was tough. The students did exceptionally well. Not only did they come fourth, with only 1.5 points between them and the 3^rd team, they were also the youngest team in the top ten groups. The team held their nerve and approached each round with enthusiasm, teamwork and focus.  

We are so proud of how the students did. We might not have won this year, but we came extremely close! Bring on next year!
