On 27th September we celebrated all the wonderful languages represented at Wellington School!

 

The Adshead Hall was the venue for our annual pupil-led language-learning experience, where Year 7 and 8 students are treated to taster-sessions from a variety of different languages. This was our best Language Day ever with 21 languages represented and over 60 students stepping up as teachers for the day.  They prepared and delivered engaging lessons and games to their peers. We had such a variety of languages from Cantonese, Igbo, Arabic, Sign Language and Thai. They were all a credit to our school and our Year 7 and 8 had a great time.

 

A special thank you to Mrs Ramsumair for organising this event and for delivering a truly inspiring talk about the importance of languages.
