‘Taking Maths Further’ Event at Manchester University

On Wednesday 7^th December, eight Year 11 mathematicians attended the Advanced Maths Support Programme ‘Taking maths further’ event at Manchester University. 

The students completed ‘Apprentice’ styled tasks that centred around the manufacturing of toy fish mobiles which included working with moments, considering the statistics involved in quality control and the logistics of packing.  

The day ended with a Dragon Quiz (and fire drill!) which was highly competitive and enjoyed by all.  Another successful Maths trip.
