Another very successful Scholastic Book Fair took place in the LRC this week – pupils took full advantage of the half price books on sale, with many destined to be wrapped up and put under the tree in a couple of weeks time.

Thanks to the high amount of sales, the library will receive over a £150 worth of free books!

 

It was a pleasure to welcome some parents into the LRC; an opportunity to buy books, to talk about reading and how best to encourage children to pick up a book. Miss Hitchens, Mrs Soldiew and I enjoyed sharing strategies and recommending books that could interest even the most reluctant readers.

 

So a big thank you to staff, parents and pupils- happy festive reading!
