Planetarium Visit

Yesterday we had our annual Planetarium visit and it was the biggest one yet!

Students were very excited to enter the dome and we were treated to a little lesson on constellations (students should also know how to find the North star now), and 360 degree videos about searching for Aliens and the Sun. An extra treat was that our presenter, Zee from Immersive Experiences, brought along some genuine meteorites, some of which are even older than Earth, and students were able to have a good look at them too. (Oddly lots of them wanted to smell them – they smell like metal by the way!) Thank you to the Year 5s from Navigation Road who popped along for one of the sessions as well and who were also brilliantly behaved!
