Martha Adams: Kooth Future Council Member
Year 12 Film Studies students were given the opportunity to participate in a Kooth competition, and I am delighted to report that two students were shortlisted.
Martha Adams received an invitation to attend several online masterclasses and was also selected to travel to London for an in-person workshop with industry professionals.
Martha shared her thoughts on the experience: I travelled to Ravensbourne University in London to meet with the other members of the Kooth Future Council and teammates. I did Vox Pop interviews with the general public about mental health and practiced putting together engaging social media content (I did filming, interviewing and editing). I then had a session with illustrator Eva Malley and we created our own posters and zines using mental health related prompts for inspiration, such as ‘be kind to yourself’ and ‘breathe in, breathe out’. Overall, I found the day extremely useful as I had opportunities to meet new people, make new friends, express my creativity, boost my confidence and talk about my artwork that won me a place in the council.
Congratulations to Martha!
