History Trip to Warwick Castle

On Friday 6th December, the History Department braved the cold and the M6 to take 47 Year 7 pupils to Warwick Castle. We learned all about the Castle’s early life as an Anglo-Saxon fortress, how it then developed into a Norman Motte and Bailey in 1068 and eventually how it became the Stone Keep you see today. We toured the main Hall, fed the peacocks, raided the giftshops and even enjoyed some Hot Chocolate and Toasted Marshmallows at the Christmas Market. Our pupils even had time to complete a quiz, the winner of which was Isabella Pass. Thank you to all who attended for a lovely educational day out.
