History Trip to Warwick Castle
On Friday 9th December, the History Department braved the cold to take 49 Year 7 pupils to Warwick Castle. We learned all about the Castle’s early life as an Anglo-Saxon fortress, how it then developed into a Norman Motte and Bailey in 1068 and eventually how it became the Stone Keep you see today. We walked the Walls, fed the peacocks, raided the giftshops and even enjoyed some Hot Chocolate at the Christmas Market. The day ended with a display of Medieval weapons.
