European Youth Parliament Regional Debate
A group of Year 12 students attended Salford University to take part in the European Youth Parliament Regional Debate. Students engaged in debates over topics such as whether the legacy of European colonialism remains a hindrance of African economic development, increases in youth violence and other forms of juvenile delinquency and increases in spiking of drinks.
Whilst the team narrowly missed out on winning the debate, the judge praised our students for their thoughtful and developed arguments alongside the respectful but firm way in which they countered arguments made from opposing teams.
