Eco Committee Beach Clean to Formby
Last Thursday, nine students from our Eco Committee across Years 7 – 10 enjoyed a day of all weathers at Formby beach in Liverpool collecting litter. We started in the forest, keeping an eye out for the world-famous red squirrels, before heading to the extremely windy sand dunes. We were pleasantly surprised at how little rubbish there was compared to recent years, but our diligent students were meticulous in their picking and we still managed to fill a number of sacks! After some brief spells of rain and a chilly stop under trees for lunch, the sun began to shine and we returned to the forest for a bit of sports before heading back on the minibus leaving a cleaner Formby beach!
