The Year 9/10 Dodgeball teams took part in the first North West regional tournament for their age group at Eccles Sixth Form College on Monday.  Seven teams entered and games were played as a round-robin tournament.  Our girls’ team, one of only 2 girls’ teams at the event, therefore played most of their games against boys’ teams and mostly against Year 10 boys.  They played fantastic Dodgeball only losing twice, one of which was against our own boys’ team.  The boys team went through the tournament unbeaten, only dropping one set (to our girls’ team!), in the whole event.  The boys’ team finished on top of the pile with the girls coming a creditable 4^th overall and taking the girls’ trophy for being the top placed girls’ team.  With all but 2 of our players being in Year 9/8, this bodes well for the future as they have at least another year at this age group.  Players of the Tournament:  Mikey Bailey and Abby Tsang.  Well done to everyone who took part and also thanks to Mr & Mrs Bailey for helping with the coaching, on the day and throughout this term.
