Anime Club

Pupils in Anime Club have taken part in a recent competition to draw characters from their favourite Anime and/or Manga.

We have had some absolutely brilliant entries, some of which have been completed on an I-pad, alongside some pencil drawings and coloured hand-drawn images. The following pupils are to be congratulated for their fantastic winning entries:

• Sam Kavanagh (9JAB) – 1^st place
• Jack Howes (7SCE)- 2^nd place
• Lucas Pound (Y8)- 3^rd place
• Emily Gray (9SHG)- Runner up
• Marlowe McCourty (7LMN)- Runner up

The images will be used to create a new Manga and Anime Display Board in Room 23; hopefully piquing the interest of many more pupils who think they might like to start watching Anime or reading Manga. Mrs Gilbert (LRC) has commented on how over the past few months, the popularity in the reading of Manga is steadily growing (which is great to hear!).

Pupils enjoyed the range of prizes on offer, including some copies of manga and sketch books guiding them on how to perfect their manga-illustration skills.

A special thank you also goes out to staff member Mr French, who contributed his own superb artwork for the competition.
