Congratulations to all 17 students ranging from Year 7 to 11 who completed their ABRSM Practical Grades on Monday. The results were returned very quickly and I’m very pleased to announce that all our students successfully passed, with a number of those students receiving a Merit or Distinction. The practical grades not only test the students ability to perform pieces successfully, they also have to demonstrate their ability to perform scales and arpeggios chosen at random from memory, sight reading pieces they’ve never seen before as well as complete an aural test where candidates respond to unfamiliar music.
