U16 Boys Hockey

Congratulations to the U16 boys hockey team who took part in the North West tournament on Thursday.

A trip to Sedbergh saw 14 young men shine once again representing Wellington School. They came a terrific third place, beating Wirral Grammar and St Anselm’s with plenty of goals from Finn O’Brien and superb defensive play by Oli Edge. They were lead by their captain of five years Albie Sutton, who also received player of the tournament from his peers. An outstanding performance by all and a special mention to Ben Prince and Ben Langridge from year 9 who stepped up and should be very proud of their performance.

It has been a true pleasure to coach these boys for five years.
