Year 7 Residential
This week, we took 236 Year 7 students away to the Conwy Centre in Anglesey. The Year 7 students were amazing, impressing both our staff but more importantly the centre staff. “In the whole 20 years I have worked here at the centre, the pupils have been the most organised and ‘on it’ ever!” was a comment on the final day.
The students did a range of activities; bushcraft, canoeing, high ropes, low ropes, mountain biking, zip line and via ferrata options, on a rotation. They managed to visit the tuck shop, and did some evening activities on top of social time. Nightline was my favourite! Seeing the pupils socialise with different students in their group and also at meal times. The atmosphere was amazing!
I am so proud of you Year 7, the resilience you have shown throughout the 3 days was wonderful.
Finally, a BIG thank you to the staff that came along on the trip. Your help & support was appreciated so much! A very tiring but rewarding trip away!
Enjoy your half term and well deserved rest!
