The U14 mixed team played in the Trafford Hockey tournament on Wednesday and despite drawing with Sale Grammar they won the event! There was plenty of midfield action from Ben and Orla and lots to do for Ava, the keeper too. Erin Hewitt received player of the tournament and made some super tackles in midfield. A big thank you to Charlotte Codd and Maggie Manson from Year 13, who once again umpired the tournament and braved the cold weather.

The U16 boys played Altrincham Boys Grammar on Thursday in a thrilling display of teamwork and relentless efforts. There were some great moments of triangles around the opposition and ariels from the back. Unfortunately we couldn’t find the back of the net despite our greatest efforts.

Leo Cooper received man of the match from the opposition and Luke Davies and captain Albie Sutton both received it from us. The final score was 2-0 which flattered them as it was a very even game.

Well done to all who have played so far this year and please remember to bring your festive hats for Monday’s Wellington tournament.
