Boys Hockey
The U14 boys’ hockey team had the opportunity to play longer games at the Trafford Tournament on Wednesday with only 2 other teams to play against. The first game was against our own girls’ team – fresh from their success at the North West Tournament this week. The boys played a great defensive game against an onslaught from the girls but Oliver Breeze-Marsh made save after save, in only his second game as GK. The boys managed an against the play ‘breakaway’ goal, dispatched by Daksh Balasubramanyam, to sneak an unlikely win.
Their second game saw the boys take on St Bedes and again they played a much-improved game with many shots on goal but didn’t manage to hit the target. St Bedes however, were more clinical and slotted away one chance to win the game, despite some great defensive efforts from Connor Flukes and Hynn Chay Cheung. Well played to everyone in the team. Man of the tournament: Oliver Breeze-Marsh.
