Science Club 05/06/24

We have had some fun this week looking at the Science behind Static Electricity. Our keen scientists seemed to know lots about charges and the movement of charges, aren’t they a clever bunch?! We carried out various activities using balloons to transfer electrons from a blanket and show repulsion of like charged materials. The star of the show was definitely our Van dee Graaf generator which caused our hair to repel our body! Demonstrated first by our very own Science technician, Dr Glass. We then got the kids to have a go one at a time, some very funny hair do’s by the end. Please note, no children were harmed during this session!
