Farewell Year 13
On Thursday, we said a fond farewell to our wonderful Year 13 students, the vast majority of whom have been at Wellington for 7 years so it really is the end of an era! And for those who were new to our Sixth Form 2 years ago, it feels like they’ve always been a part of the Wellington community. We celebrated their last day with cake, shirt signing and lots of photo opportunities.
In our send off assembly, Mr Cropper took them through their Wellington journey with photos of many memories of their time here set to music – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house (quite a few laughs too at their fresh-faced Year 7 pictures!) Mrs Stephens also took them on a trip down memory lane with the kind (and top secret!) help of parents sending in baby and first day at school photographs. Most were instantly recognisable but a few put tutors on the spot as they tried to guess who was who. Lots of cute and funny photos and a reminder of how far they’ve come! Thanks to parents too for your ‘words of wisdom’ as your young people move on to their next adventure. We couldn’t be more proud of our Class of 2024.
