Geography Careers Talk
This Thursday, we were visited by Peter Hayward, an Environmental Health and Safety Auditor with a wealth of experience working and studying in Geography. The GCSE and A-level Geography students were treated to a talk on Peter’s career path, from studying Geography at university, to the variety of fields that he has since worked in and Peter shared with the students some good advice for those considering jobs within the subject. One of only 800 of ‘Charted Geographers’ worldwide, Peter also highlighted to students the variety of skills that they would acquire through the study of the subject. The students also had a variety of well thought out questions to ask at the end of the talk, engaging well and showing a great level of thought. We’re looking forward to seeing all the students back next Thursday for our second careers talk of the year!
