Year 7 History Trip
On Friday 1st December, the History Department braved the icy cold to take 44 Year 7 pupils to Warwick Castle. We learned all about the Castle’s early life as an Anglo-Saxon fortress, how it then developed into a Norman Motte and Bailey in 1068 and eventually how it became the Stone Keep you see today. We toured the main Hall, fed the peacocks, raided the giftshops and even enjoyed some Hot Chocolate and Toasted Marshmallows at the Christmas Market.
Multiple members of staff at the Castle commented on how polite and well-mannered all of our pupils were during the visit so please pass on my thanks! A lovely bunch of young Historians!
