Several year groups this week have had an assembly linked to the festival of Diwali. This is a festival that is celebrated all over the world in a variety of different ways. To mark the festival within the Wellington community, we would like to run a project in the build up to the festive period entitled “Where the light gets in”.  We have partnered with Trafford South Foodbank (within our community) to help with food donations at what is a challenging time within our society. We hope that pupils will donate food items to be a light for someone who may be in a dark place and create a real sense of community.
