8R Drama 

This week 8R turned their hands to puppetry! They worked together to build their own ‘brown paper man’ puppet, named him Terry and successfully brought him to life using the 3 principles of puppetry: focus, breathing, and weight. The class were then able to produce a fantastic short piece of theatre where one student interacted with the puppet. Finally, each student made their own miniature brown paper man puppet to take home, putting their own individual spin on the little characters they made and giving them names. Some of the students have even said they are going to use their puppets over the summer to create some stop motion animation films! I’m really proud of 8R and how well they took to this tricky theatrical skill.
