Year 12 Review and Reward Day

Our Year 12 Review and Reward Day took place on Wednesday this week. We spent the morning reflecting on the past 12 months and planning for next year now we’re at the halfway point. Mr Cropper led some sessions on Personal Learning Checklists, university applications and UCAS personal statements. Year 12 then spent time with their tutors researching university courses and/or degree apprenticeships, setting up their individual UCAS accounts, booking onto Open Days and exploring the wealth of resources and support materials on Unifrog.

The day was topped off with traditional sports races on the field – very entertaining three-legged, wheelbarrow, egg and spoon and sack races. We also had some impressive welly wanging and a tutor team relay. There was a lot of laughter and very vocal competitive spirit! Students enjoyed the opportunity to relax in the sunshine. And, to cool down, everyone had the chance to treat themselves to a 99 with sherbet, sauce and sprinkles from Mr Terry’s ice cream van!
