Year 9 Netball

This week was the Year 9B and Year 9A end of season Trafford Netball tournaments. On Tuesday 9B had a great evening and really came together as a strong team as the games went on. Finishing in 3^rd place, the team came away with a win, multiple draws and two loses to AGGS and Loreto. A strong combination of Amy F at C and Evie S at GA really help the Girls in the attack.

On Thursday 9A had an excellent evening, winning 7/8 games and losing to AGGS in the final game 4-7 to finish in an overall second place. The girls were superb throughout the court, giving each game their all, which allowed them to achieve such high scoring results; beating Sale G – 4-2, AOM 5-4, Stretford Grammar 6-1, Broadoak 13-0, North Cestrian 13-2 and BTH 10-0. Making play look effortless, the defence were able to use Sophie W at C to transfer the ball to Sofia and Ruby in the shooting circle who had an impressive shooting rate. A well- deserved second place!
