International Women’s Day

The REP department took part in a multi-school webinar for International Women’s Day. 20 students across Year 9 and 10 heard from a diverse group of female speakers who discussed their own personal experiences of being a woman within their faith or belief, whether that be Catholicism, Sikhism, Hinduism or Humanism. Students asked some fantastic questions, including ‘how do you reconcile sexist features within holy texts with your faith?’ and ‘what do you think can be done to overcome gender inequality within the world today?’ Watch this space for our next webinar for Earth Day next month.
