Year 12 Lang/Lit: Othello in the Cinema

This Wednesday, we took our (lovely) Year 12 English Language & Literature A Level students to the Light Cinema in Stockport to see National Theatre: Live! There was an afternoon showing of Clint Dyer’s recent staging of Othello (unbelievably, the first directed by a person of colour).

Despite the fact they won’t study the play until next academic year, we were impressed by the students’ grasp of the plot and views on the stagecraft. In fact, the class were impeccably behaved all afternoon and made us very proud. Even a cancelled train home, didn’t spoil a fun afternoon of fantastic theatre!
