Year 9 Boys Hockey vs Cheadle Hulme School

A narrow loss tonight against a very evenly matched opposition. The Wellington boys played some strong hockey but just couldn’t find the back of the goal. There was plenty of action up and down the pitch and in both D’s with Henry Hatfield making some super hand saves. We conceded a short corner right on half time from which they scored a strong first time shot so we came out hard in the second half and made a few positional changes. It wasn’t to be, and the final score was 1-0. The player of the match from us and them was Joe Wiggan who ran and ran for 50 mins solid. Well done to all the lads who played: Albie Sutton, James Brown, Finn O’Brien, Kieran Smith, Joe Wiggan, Diganth Raj, Jacob Hornby, Tom Boyer, Toby Hornby, Charlie Gregory, Henry Hatfield and Leo Cooper.
