German Career Roadshow

On Wednesday 2^nd November we took 15 students in Year 10 and Year 12 to the German Career Roadshow at Manchester University. Councillor Eamonn O’Brien opened the event, sponsored by the Goethe Institute. Our students attended seminars on intercultural awareness training, how to find a career and career opportunities with Lufthansa. In the afternoon our students meet and spoke with representatives from Lufthansa, Bloomberg, DAAD and the University of Manchester to discuss the many opportunities available to them and how they could use their German skills in their future careers and studies. All of them came away with a greater awareness of how their language skills can help them in their future career choices and of course some freebies!
