Year 7 – Food, Lotions and Potions

This week was the last session of the Food, Lotions and Potions, extra-curricular club. Although the pupils were sad for the end of the sessions, they were also very excited for the product we were making – ice-cream in a bag.

Using our food science knowledge, some sandwich bags, plenty of ice and pink Himalayan salt, we “shook” some cream, milk, sugar and vanilla essence for 30 minutes until we had some delicious, soft scoop ice-cream.

The pupils had a great time and we discussed some future ideas for the club.
