Year 10 Geography Blencathra Trip
Earlier this week, the Geography department took the Year 10 cohort to the Lake District to complete their Geography fieldwork investigation. After a short walk up Blencathra, the students came to their first site along Glenderrterra Beck. Here they learnt how to take river measurements, including velocity, channel width and depth. With a bit of practice, they were soon collecting accurate and reliable data and demonstrated the ability to evaluate their methods. The students did brilliantly and seemed to enjoy the dramatic landscape of the lakes. Good effort Year 10.
